The USB to Serial Converter Cable is ideal for connecting RS232 devices to any of the PhidgetSBC's USB ports. The SBC will automatically recognize the Converter when it is plugged in and will create a serial port for it.

Cheap knockoffs

Cheap Chinese knock-offs. Use the no longer supported Prolific (probably not genuine) PL-2303HXD chips. I ordered 2. They came in different cable lengths (1 ft vs 2 ft). I had to downgrade my Prolific driver in order to get these to work on Windows 7 (I don't use Win 10).
